Last night the U11 girls played a very strong Ennis Town side in the Shield Semi-Final.
The girls put in a stellar performance taking the lead twice through Alva Bunbury, then Amelie Brennan. Both goals the result of some intricate play at the back and escaping up the wings.
Unfortunately luck was not on the girls side as Ennis Town scored their first equaliser through an awful bounce over the goalkeeper, and the winning goal hitting both posts before going over the line. The girls gave their all in an outstanding performance but could not put away the chance needed to pull the game back.
Big thanks to all the parents, on both sides, who created a brilliant atmosphere and good luck to Ennis Town in the final.
